Pumpkin Patches & All-Ages Fall Fun
The Farm at Rocky Top (Salem)
Weekends only, Sept. 27–Oct. 26, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Admission: under 23 months free; ages 2–64 $12.50; age 65+ $8. New this year: a four-stop “carnival road” with classic midway-style games ($5 per game) where every player wins a prize—think mallet-and-bell high striker, a target-shooting booth, balloon pop, and a go-fishing station. On top of that: market shopping, a Christmas corner, lawn games, petting zoo, inflatables, hayrides, concessions, and a math maze/Roly-Poly zone that grown-ups love as much as toddlers. Get hours, pricing, and directions from The Farm at Rocky Top (2910 Lee Road 145, Salem).
Farmer in the Dell Pumpkin Patch (Auburn)
Open various days (primarily Wed–Fri; watch social updates). Admission: ages 2+ $5; under 2 free. Your ticket includes the hayride, access to the flower field and pumpkin patch, time with farm animals, the crop maze, and a big play area. Pick pumpkins straight off the vine—lots of sizes and colors—and let kids run the hay-bale playground before you ride back past the livestock. Full details at Farmer in the Dell Pumpkin Patch (6500 Lee Rd 137, Auburn).
Choctafaula Pumpkin Patch (Auburn)
Open Sept. 27–Nov. 2: Sat–Sun 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Fridays 1–5 p.m. starting Oct. 3. Admission: ages 2–63 $15; ages 65+ and guests with valid military ID $13.50. General admission includes a safari wagon ride past exotic animals (zebras, camels, llamas, giraffes, water buffalo, and more), a large petting-zoo area, and pumpkins growing right on the vine for you to cut. For a fee, add rock wall climbs, a mechanical bull, pony and camel rides, and other upgrades. The on-site café serves hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, funnel fries, nachos, popsicles, and Coke products; the watering hole bar shows the big games on TV and pours beer and seltzers. Plan your day at Choctafaula Pumpkin Patch (929 County Road 14, Auburn).
Festivals, Art, & Oktoberfest Weekends
Auburn’s Oktoberfest (Auburn)

Art Harvest Exhibition (Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center)
The show runs Oct. 1–Nov. 4, with a reception and outdoor maker market on Oct. 9 from 5:30–8 p.m. Inside you’ll see seasonal pieces—from fall landscapes to playful, spooky work—while the patio market under new bistro lights features handmade décor and wearable art.
