An engineering position can involve teaching, research, meetings, and work in different buildings. Identify your actual destinations before treating a home as close to campus. Include your parking arrangement and the walk to the building when testing a route.
What should I check if energy efficiency matters?
Compare the actual home’s systems, age, insulation information, maintenance history, and available utility information. Ask qualified inspectors about performance and condition; a newer home or a “smart” feature alone does not establish efficiency.
