Tiger Walk Tradition in Auburn, Alabama – Our Brick, Our Story
There’s nothing quite like a game day on the Plains—and Tiger Walk is one of the most iconic traditions in all of college football. My daughter Ashley and I recently visited Tiger Walk in Auburn, Alabama, and stood proudly by our engraved brick that reads:
“Ashley and Laura – War Eagle”
That brick means more to us than words can express. It’s a permanent piece of our Auburn legacy, right there along Donahue Drive, where fans line up every game day to cheer on the Tigers as they walk into Jordan-Hare Stadium.
What Is Tiger Walk?
Tiger Walk began in the 1960s as a simple gathering of kids hoping to get autographs from Auburn players. Over the years, it grew into a massive tradition, with tens of thousands of fans packing Donahue Drive before each home game. The walk starts roughly two hours before kickoff, as the team, coaches, cheerleaders, and Aubie the Tiger march together toward the stadium surrounded by a roaring crowd of orange and blue.

Our Personal Auburn Moment
When Ashley and I visited, we found our engraved brick—a gift that marked our family’s Auburn connection forever. The brick says it simply:

We took photos together, walked the Tiger Walk path, and shared a moment that combined love, legacy, and pure Auburn spirit. It reminded us of how meaningful this place is—not just for students and athletes, but for families like ours who have shared in the journey.
