Getting Closer to Kickoff: Who’s Ready for Some Auburn Football? 🏈
Football season is almost here, and you can feel the anticipation all around Auburn. I stopped by Jordan-Hare Stadium today, and let me tell you—it never gets old. The energy, the history, the pride… it all hits a little harder when you’re standing right there in the heart of it.
At the stadium, I visited the Heisman statues honoring three of Auburn’s greatest: Pat Sullivan, Bo Jackson, and Cam Newton. Each of these legends brought home the Heisman Trophy—and their larger-than-life bronze statues celebrate the talent and tradition Auburn fans know so well. And let’s not forget the statue of John Heisman himself, a nod to one of the game’s foundational figures.
Next up was the Tiger Walk entrance, where you’ll find tributes to coaching legends Shug Jordan, Pat Dye, and Cliff Hare. Every Auburn fan knows how special the Tiger Walk is. It’s more than just a tradition—it’s a rite of passage for players and fans alike, and it gives you chills every time.
And who doesn’t love the Auburn Tiger statue? 🐅 It’s one of the most photographed spots on campus. Fans of all ages gather around it on game day—and year-round—to show their Tiger pride.
Before leaving, I had to stop by my commemorative brick, which proudly features my name and my daughter Ashley’s, along with our message: “War Eagle.” That little moment always brings it home for me—literally. Auburn isn’t just where we went to school. It’s where we live, where we work, and where we cheer.
