Fall is here, and for most people that means it’s time to get the coats out of storage, get ready for pumpkin-themed everything, and — if you’re like me — prepare for football season.
It also means the end of the summer buying and selling season for real estate, and with less competition out there it might be the perfect time to put your home on the market. If you’re thinking of selling your home in Auburn or selling your home in Opelika, it’s a good time to start sprucing it up. That might mean a remodeling project is in your future.
Where should you spend your money to get the most return on your investment?
The report found that kitchen upgrades, complete kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations and new wood flooring topped the list for having the most appeal to buyers. They also were received favorably in terms of expected resale value.
Not all remodeling projects happen inside the home, though. Realtors said roofing, vinyl windows, garage doors and vinyl siding were among buyer favorites for exterior projects.
