Auburn Men’s Golf Wins Another National Championship and Toomer’s Corner Rolls Again
Auburn University has done it again.
The Auburn Tigers Men’s Golf team captured the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf National Championship, defeating UCLA in the championship match and bringing another national title back to the Plains. For Auburn fans, it was another unforgettable moment in what has become one of the most successful eras in program history.
What makes this accomplishment even more impressive is that this marks Auburn’s second NCAA Men’s Golf National Championship in just three years. Auburn won its first-ever NCAA Men’s Golf National Championship in 2024, and now the Tigers have added another trophy to the collection in 2026.
A Championship Tradition: Rolling Toomer’s Corner
Whenever something special happens at Auburn, fans know exactly where to go.
Toomer’s Corner has served as the heart of Auburn celebrations for generations. Whether it’s a major football victory, a Final Four run, an SEC Championship, or now another NCAA Golf National Championship, Auburn fans gather downtown to roll the oak trees and celebrate together.
I walked through Toomer’s Corner early that morning before the cleanup crews arrived and captured photos and video of the celebration. Seeing the streets covered in rolls of toilet paper is something that never gets old. It’s one of those Auburn traditions that instantly reminds you how passionate this community is about its university and its teams.
The celebration wasn’t just about golf. It was about Auburn pride.
Auburn Athletics Continues an Incredible Run
The success of Auburn Athletics has been remarkable in recent years.
From Auburn Football creating unforgettable moments in Jordan-Hare Stadium to Auburn Basketball making deep NCAA Tournament runs, Auburn Baseball hosting postseason play at Plainsman Park, and now Auburn Men’s Golf winning another national championship, there is always something exciting happening on the Plains.
Golf may not always receive the same attention as football or basketball, but what Auburn Men’s Golf has accomplished deserves recognition. Winning one NCAA National Championship is difficult. Winning two national championships within three seasons places Auburn among the elite programs in college golf.
Why Living in Auburn Is Different
One thing I often tell people relocating to Auburn is that Auburn is much more than a college town.
The university creates a sense of community that extends far beyond campus. Residents don’t simply watch Auburn sports. They experience them.
You can walk through downtown Auburn after a national championship, attend baseball games at Plainsman Park, enjoy football Saturdays at Jordan-Hare Stadium, watch basketball inside Neville Arena, and participate in traditions that connect generations of Auburn families.
For many people, that’s exactly why they move here and why so many never leave.
Thinking About Moving to Auburn?

Many buyers initially move here for school, employment, or athletics and end up staying because of the lifestyle, community, and traditions that make Auburn unique.
