Auburn Football Memorabilia: Do You Save Your Tickets?
Auburn football memorabilia can be anything from an autographed football to an old program, but some of the most meaningful Auburn keepsakes may be the simplest: old Auburn football tickets.
Do you save yours?
Maybe you have a ticket from your first Auburn game.
A ticket from an unforgettable win.
A ticket from the game you attended with your parents.
Or maybe you’ve kept Auburn programs, buttons, shakers, photographs, jerseys, cups, newspaper clippings, or other pieces of Auburn history that mean something to you.
To somebody else, it may look like a box of old stuff.
To an Auburn fan?
Those things can hold a lifetime of memories.
And if your love for Auburn has you thinking about buying a home, condo, or game-day property here, that connection to Auburn can eventually become more than something you keep in a box.

Auburn Football Memorabilia: What’s in Your Collection?
I think this is a fun question for Auburn fans:
What Auburn football memorabilia have you kept?
Old tickets?
Programs?
Shakers?
Buttons?
Autographs?
Photographs?
Maybe something that belonged to your parents or grandparents?
Sometimes the most meaningful item isn’t remotely the most expensive.
It may simply remind you of one particular Saturday in Auburn.
You remember who you were with.
You remember where you sat.
You remember walking toward Jordan-Hare Stadium.
And, hopefully, you remember an Auburn win. 😂

Do You Save Auburn Football Tickets?
For years, a football ticket wasn’t merely how you entered the stadium.
After the game, you had something tangible to keep.
People tucked tickets into scrapbooks.
Put them in picture frames.
Saved them with programs.
Dropped them into boxes with other Auburn keepsakes.
Years later, you could pick up that ticket and immediately remember the game.
That’s what makes memorabilia interesting.
Its personal value isn’t necessarily related to its monetary value.
A ticket that means almost nothing to somebody else could mean everything to you.
Auburn Memories Can Span Generations
One thing I love about Auburn is how many people’s connections here span generations.
Parents bring children to games.
Those children grow up.
Eventually, they bring their own children.
Families return for football weekends year after year.
Over time, those Auburn memories accumulate.
A ticket.
A photograph.
A program.
A shaker.
A jersey.
And eventually, somebody may say:
“You know what? I’d really love to have our own place in Auburn.”
That’s where Auburn football and Auburn real estate sometimes meet.
When Loving Auburn Turns Into Owning in Auburn
Not everybody buying Auburn real estate is relocating here full-time.
Some buyers simply love Auburn.
Maybe they graduated from Auburn University years ago.
Maybe their children attend Auburn now.
Maybe Auburn football brings them back several weekends every fall.
Maybe they’re thinking about retirement and would like Auburn to become home someday.
Eventually, paying for hotels and finding somewhere to stay for football weekends can lead to a different question:
Should we buy a place in Auburn?
That’s a conversation I have with buyers.
And the answer depends on much more than loving Auburn football.
Auburn Game-Day Homes and Condos
If you’re considering an Auburn game-day property, start by thinking about how you actually want to use it.
Do you want a condo?
A townhome?
A single-family home?
Do you want to walk to Jordan-Hare Stadium?
Would you rather have more space and drive to games?
How much maintenance do you want?
Will family and friends stay with you?
Will you use the property only during football season or throughout the year?
Do you expect it eventually to become your full-time home?
Those answers can completely change your real estate search.
Walking Distance Can Mean Different Things
I always think this is worth discussing with game-day buyers.
People will tell me:
“We want to be within walking distance of Jordan-Hare Stadium.”
Okay.
But what does walking distance mean to you?
Five minutes?
Fifteen?
Thirty?
What feels perfectly reasonable to one Auburn fan may feel much too far to somebody else—especially after the game.
That’s why I like buyers to think specifically about how they plan to use the property instead of simply saying they want to be “close to campus.”
Auburn University (https://www.auburn.edu/) and Jordan-Hare Stadium (https://auburntigers.com/jordan-hare-stadium) are obvious reference points, but a map doesn’t tell the whole story.
Game-Day Property or Future Full-Time Home?
This can be a big distinction.
Suppose you’re buying a condo primarily for Auburn football weekends.
Your priorities might be:
• Campus proximity
• Walking distance
• Parking
• Low maintenance
• Enough sleeping space for family or friends
• Easy access to Downtown Auburn
But suppose you’re moving to Auburn full-time.
Now we may also be talking about:
• Your everyday commute
• Yard space
• Storage
• Home office needs
• Neighborhood setting
• Shopping and restaurants
• Long-term floor plan
• How much game-day activity you want around you
The property that’s perfect for seven football weekends isn’t automatically the property you would choose for 365 days a year.
Sometimes it is.
Sometimes it isn’t.
Think Beyond Football Saturday
If you’re considering buying an Auburn property because you love Auburn football, I want you to enjoy those Saturdays.
But I also want you to think about the rest of the year.
Will you use the property during basketball season?
Baseball season?
Graduation?
Auburn University events?
Family visits?
Will you spend ordinary weekends here?
Could you eventually retire here?
The more clearly we understand your plans, the easier it becomes to identify properties that actually make sense for you.
You can explore different residential areas through my Auburn subdivisions page (https://auburnopelikaalrealestate.com/auburn-al-subdivisons/).
For current public-school information, buyers can use Auburn City Schools (https://www.auburnschools.org/).
Auburn Mall (https://www.shopauburnalabama.com/) is another established local shopping destination.

Your Auburn Collection Might Eventually Include a Set of Keys
Maybe right now your Auburn collection includes:
A ticket from your first game.
A favorite shaker.
An old program.
An autographed football.
A photograph from Toomer’s Corner.
A jersey you’ve had forever.
Those are memories.
But maybe you’ve also reached the point where you’re tired of searching for a place to stay every time you come to Auburn.
Maybe your children are attending Auburn University.
Maybe you’re thinking about retirement.
Maybe you’re simply ready to spend more time here.
Then perhaps the next thing in your Auburn collection is something a little different:
A set of keys. 🏡
That’s where I can help.
Quick Q&A About Auburn Football Memorabilia and Real Estate
What Auburn football memorabilia do fans collect?
Collections vary tremendously and can include tickets, programs, shakers, autographs, photographs, jerseys, footballs, newspaper clippings, buttons, cups, and other Auburn-related keepsakes.
Are old Auburn football tickets worth keeping?
That’s a personal decision. Even when an old ticket isn’t particularly valuable as a collectible, it may have significant sentimental value because of the game or people associated with it.
Why do Auburn fans buy game-day properties?
Reasons vary. Some want a convenient place to stay during Auburn football weekends, while others use properties for additional Auburn events, family visits, or as a possible future full-time residence.
Is being close to Jordan-Hare Stadium important?
It depends on the buyer. Some buyers strongly prioritize walking distance, while others prefer more space or different property options farther from campus.
What should I consider before buying an Auburn game-day home?
Consider your budget, desired property type, maintenance, parking, campus proximity, sleeping space, how often you’ll use the property, and whether it may eventually become a full-time home.
Should I contact a REALTOR® before I start touring Auburn properties?
Yes. If you’re seriously considering buying, contacting your REALTOR® before touring or requesting information through real estate portals can help you establish representation and start your search with your priorities clearly defined.
