Lee County Auburn Club Annual Meeting Was a Blast — War Eagle!
I had such a great time at the Lee County Auburn Club Annual Meeting on July 24 at the Auburn Alumni Center. A big thank you to Matthew Morris and Lawrence Hamberlin, club president, for organizing and hosting such a fantastic evening. Everything was so well done—from the energy in the room to the incredible lineup of guests and activities.
Of course, it was a blast to see Aubie in action—who doesn’t love Aubie? And one of the most heartwarming moments of the night was meeting Soile, the golden retriever emotional support dog from the Auburn University School of Nursing. Soile was trained through AU’s own dog training program and was a total crowd favorite. That pup had everyone smiling!
Dr. Dave Ketchen, Harbert Eminent Scholar from Auburn’s Harbert College of Business, delivered a powerful message filled with takeaways from his “Winning Skills” program. His insight into thriving both personally and professionally was relevant and genuinely motivating.
It was also meaningful to see Kim Evans, an Auburn legend who coached the women’s golf team for over 20 years and now continues to serve the university in other capacities. Her presence and legacy remain a vital part of the Auburn family.
I walked away from the event feeling more connected, inspired, and grateful to be part of such a strong and supportive Auburn community.
