The City of Auburn will once again host the Annual Fourth of July Celebration on Monday, July 4 behind the home side of Duck Samford Stadium. This FREE community event is sponsored by Briggs & Stratton Corporation and is open to all ages. Gates open at 6 p.m., followed by live music at 7 p.m. Be sure to stick around for one of THE best fireworks displays in the area beginning at 9 p.m.
This year’s musical entertainment will feature Reuben’s Bell, a “southern rock band with a modern twist.” The Atlanta based band uses many different musical stylings as inspiration for their work. They work in other musical genres, but stay true to their southern roots, creating a sound that can be enjoyed by everyone. Reuben’s Bell “signifies a strong sense of family, community, musicianship and tradition.”
Everyone is encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic basket to celebrate our nation’s birthday with a night full of live entertainment, fun activities and free goodies courtesy of Briggs & Stratton.
Those planning to attend should note the parking lot off Airport Road, between the Bo Cavin Fields and the new Duck Samford Fields, will be CLOSED to the public during the event to accommodate the fireworks shoot site. However, the parking lot off of East University Drive next to the old Duck Samford Fields will now be OPEN to the public for parking.
Join us as we celebrate Independence Day on Monday, July 4. In the event of rain, the fireworks display will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 9 p.m. For more information, visit www.auburnalabama.org/
