I had the honor of participating in the first session, and I can’t wait to share my experience with you!
🚔 A Day with Auburn’s First Responders
Our first session was packed with hands-on experiences with the Auburn Police, Fire Department, and Communications/Emergency Management teams. From stepping inside a SWAT vehicle and watching a police K9 demonstration to learning how the 911 operations system works, the level of detail and organization that went into this event was truly impressive.
Highlights of the session:
✅ Emergency response simulations – We experienced real-life scenarios, including firefighting exercises and using life-saving equipment 🚒🔥
✅ 911 Call Center insights – Did you know you can text 911 in an emergency? This is a game-changer for individuals with disabilities or those who may not speak English fluently! 📲🚨
✅ Eagle Watch Program – Auburn residents can register their security cameras to help prevent crime and assist investigations in their neighborhoods.
✅ Auburn Public Safety App – A must-have tool that provides critical safety information at your fingertips.
