🏡 If you think real estate is all about granite countertops and financing options… think again. Sometimes, it’s about navigating strange encounters with people who clearly didn’t come to buy a house.
This is one of those stories.
🚪 Panel 1: “A Friend, Huh?”
It was a normal open house—or so I thought. I opened the door and was greeted by a guy who had the kind of grin that screamed “I’m not here for the granite countertops.”
Clutching his phone like it was his fake entry pass, he glanced around and said, “Yeah… I have a friend interested in this house.”
Right.
Even Hans gave him the side-eye from behind the kitchen island.
🔎 Panel 2: Not So Subtle
Instead of asking about square footage or school zones, he wandered into the closet and tried to make small talk. “So… you always work open houses alone?” he asked, way too casually.
Hans popped his head out from around the corner, deadpan as ever:
“Creep alert level: Orange.”
I could almost hear the imaginary alarm bells going off.
🐾 Panel 3: We Don’t Do That Here
With Hans now parked solidly between us like the furry bouncer he is, I held my clipboard tight and said:
“Unless your friend is pre-approved and standing right here, I suggest you move along.”
Hans chimed in, “Also, I bite.”
Let’s just say the “friend” never showed up. Shocking, I know.
